About this tool
An online timer is the simplest tool there is — which is exactly why it should load instantly, work on any device, and not ask for anything. Set the time, press Start, and the countdown runs in this tab with a clear display and an alarm sound at zero; the remaining time also shows in the browser tab title, so you can work in other tabs and still see it.
The preset buttons cover the durations people set most — a 5-minute break, a 10-minute task sprint, the 25-minute Pomodoro. For a timer dedicated to one duration, the pages linked below give you a one-click start with nothing to set. Keep the tab open for the alarm to sound; like every browser timer, it cannot ring if the tab is closed.
How to use it

Frequently asked questions
Does the timer work if I switch tabs?
Yes — the countdown keeps running and the remaining time shows in the tab title. The alarm sound needs the tab to stay open (it can be in the background), because browsers cannot play sound from a closed tab.
Is the alarm sound adjustable?
The alarm is a clear beeping tone generated by your browser. Your device volume controls how loud it is.
Can I run several timers at once?
