About this tool

This page is a 10-minute timer with nothing to configure: the duration is already set, so starting takes one click. Ten minutes is the task-sprint unit: one circuit of a home workout, one timed quiz, one bread-dough rest between folds. Teachers use it for writing warm-ups — long enough to actually start, short enough that nobody stalls waiting for inspiration.

Like every DetZero tool it runs entirely in your browser: nothing to install, no account, and the time left is mirrored in the tab title while you work elsewhere. At zero the alarm sounds and the status line announces it; Pause holds the countdown exactly where it is, and Reset restores the full duration.

How to use it

  1. Press Start — the timer is already set to 10 minutes.
  2. Work the sprint — the tab title shows the time left.
  3. The alarm sounds at zero. Press Reset to run it again.

Frequently asked questions

How do I set a 10 minute timer?

You don't need to set anything — this page is pre-set to 10 minutes. Just press Start.

Will the alarm work if I switch to another tab?

Yes, the countdown continues and shows in the tab title; the sound plays as long as this tab stays open somewhere in your browser.

Can I use this as a 10 minute timer with alarm for a task sprint, a workout circuit or a timed quiz?

Yes — it is a plain countdown with an audible alarm at zero, which works well for a task sprint, a workout circuit or a timed quiz, and for anything else that takes 10 minutes.
