Privacy
DetZero was designed so that the safest thing happens by default: the text you check never leaves our server's memory.
What happens to your text
- When you click “Check text”, your text is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our own server.
- It is scored in memory by our own model and the result is sent back to your browser.
- The text is then discarded. It is never written to disk, never put in a log, never sent to any third-party service or AI API, and never used to train our models.
What we do record
- Check statistics: for each check our server logs only the word count, the score, and how long scoring took — no text, no document content.
- Standard web-server logs: like almost every website, our server records IP address, time, and the page or API path requested, for security and abuse prevention.
- “This result is wrong” reports: only if you click the button, we record the score and verdict you were shown. Still no text.
Cookies and tracking
DetZero sets no cookies and runs no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. There are no user accounts and nothing to sign up for.
Training data
Our models are trained on published human writing from before the AI era and on AI text we generate ourselves. Text submitted to the checker is never used for training. If we ever offer an explicit opt-in feedback programme, it will be separate, clearly labelled, and off by default.
