About this tool
This page is a 2-minute timer with nothing to configure: the duration is already set, so starting takes one click. Two minutes is the brushing time dental associations recommend — timed studies show most people stop at about 45 seconds without a timer, which is why electric toothbrushes pulse at this exact length. It is also the classic slot for speed rounds, elevator pitches and impromptu speaking drills.
Like every DetZero tool it runs entirely in your browser: nothing to install, no account, and the time left is mirrored in the tab title while you work elsewhere. At zero the alarm sounds and the status line announces it; Pause holds the countdown exactly where it is, and Reset restores the full duration.
How to use it
- Press Start — the timer is already set to 2 minutes.
- Brush — all four quadrants, thirty seconds each — while the tab title counts down.
- The alarm sounds at zero. Press Reset to run it again.
Frequently asked questions
How do I set a 2 minute timer?
You don't need to set anything — this page is pre-set to 2 minutes. Just press Start.
Will the alarm work if I switch to another tab?
Yes, the countdown continues and shows in the tab title; the sound plays as long as this tab stays open somewhere in your browser.
Can I use this as a 2 minute timer with alarm for brushing your teeth, a speed round or a two-minute pitch?
Yes — it is a plain countdown with an audible alarm at zero, which works well for brushing your teeth, a speed round or a two-minute pitch, and for anything else that takes 2 minutes.
