Days Between Dates
Pick any two dates and see exactly how many days lie between them — with the weeks-and-days breakdown.
About this tool
How many days until the deadline? How long was that project, exactly? How many days have you been somewhere, or how long is a rental, a course, a pregnancy, a contract? Whenever a form or a plan asks in days but your calendar shows dates, this calculator gives the exact count.
The count is a pure difference between calendar dates — leap years included — so February 29 counts whenever it exists. Order does not matter: if the second date is earlier, the page shows the absolute difference and tells you.
How to use it
- Pick the first date.
- Pick the second date.
- Read the number of days between them, and the same span expressed in weeks and days.
Frequently asked questions
Is the count inclusive of both dates?
By default this calculator gives the standard difference: the number of full days from the first date to the second (so consecutive days differ by 1). If you need both endpoints counted — for example for billing days — tick “Count both the first and last day” above the result and it adds the extra day for you.
Does it handle leap years?
Yes. The calculation uses real calendar dates, so any February 29 inside the span is counted.
Can the second date be earlier than the first?
Yes — the calculator shows the absolute number of days between the two dates either way.
